If I am not paneled with your insurance provider, I’m happy to provide you with a monthly superbill - an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific plan, so I encourage you to contact your insurance company in advance to learn more about your coverage.

Please contact your insurance company directly for information regarding your eligibility and reimbursement rates.

Here are some questions you can ask your insurance company:

    1. Do I have out-of-network benefits?

    2. What is my deductible?

    3. At what percentage will I be reimbursed?

If you utilize this option, please be aware that a mental health diagnosis is required and will be listed on your superbill.

  • I believe therapy should be as accessible as possible. I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who may not be able to afford my full rate. Sliding scale fees are based on financial need and availability, and we can discuss this option together during our consultation to find a rate that feels sustainable for you.

  • The fee can be paid with all major debit/credit cards, and/or Health Savings Accounts or Flex Spending Accounts.

Payment is due at the time of service and I require a card on file. If you are using an HSA/FSA card, you will need a back up card on file for cancellation fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • In our first session, we’ll explore what led you to seek therapy, review relevant history, and clarify what you’d like to work toward. You’ll also have space to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. This session typically feels more structured than regular sessions.

  • I offer telehealth sessions throughout the state of Ohio. You will receive a link for your session 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.

  • All clients are asked to complete intake paperwork prior to the first session. This helps us use our time together more intentionally.

If you’re planning to use insurance, please complete your intake forms 48 hours in advance and have your insurance information available. I also recommend reviewing your benefits (copay, deductible, and any authorization requirements) so you feel informed going in. I’m always happy to answer questions about the process.

Otherwise, there’s nothing special you need to do to prepare. Simply come as you are. It can be helpful to think about what’s been weighing on you lately and what you hope might feel different in your life.

  • I usually start by seeing clients on a weekly basis to build rapport and get a clear history. After this, sessions usually scale back to every other week or once a month depending on client preference and progress.

  • I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) are subject to a $75 fee, and no-call/no-show appointments are charged $90. Because appointment times are reserved specifically for you, late changes make it difficult to offer that time to another client. This policy helps protect consistency and availability for everyone.

  • A therapy “hour” is usually 50 minutes. When going through insurance, times vary depending on billing codes.

If you are interested in extended EMDR therapy or couples counseling sessions, these last anywhere from 90-120 minutes and are billed at a separate rate.
